Hey Jonathan! -- Robert Van Sice has played microtonal works on marimba, so don't count it out...although you'd have to have a microtonal marimba to do it. There are some pieces that I believe Blake Tyson has played for marimba and flute, with middle eastern influence.
I don't know titles or composers though.
