Dean Gronimeier, the professor at UNLV does six mallet independence extremely well. I know he has written pieces for six mallets, and they're pretty cool. He also has an article in Percussive Notes about the six mallet independence. I believe it was written in 95 or 96. You might want to check that out as well.
