Yeah, Doug was a pleasure to work with. This marimba acceded ALL of my expectations. Its really great. Though its not a "regular" marimba, at this point in my development, the instrument really puts me "in check" as far as roll speeds, making notes more legato, etc. It really exaggerates your mistakes, which is great. In the past, I would play the lowest C on a marimba and it would just sound like a "thud". But after making the low notes on the DeMorrow come out as much as I could, gettting on a regular marimba sounds much nicer.
Even after having a regular concert marimba, I would still work on this thing, as it has been such a great teacher to me.
