Malletech, DeMorrow, MarimbaOne and others all make BEAUTIFUL looking instruments. However, you need to go with your ear, not your eyes. The only triple-tuned marimbas worth playing are Musser and Bergerault. Sure, the spans at the bottom are pretty wide, but we can forgive the span for the superior sound. MarimbaOne, Malletech, Yamaha - they all seem to have learned about tuning from Musser but they forgot to hang around for the final exam. The third partial in all of these instruments sound dreadful! Musser and Bergerault are the only two which consistently scored the highest in our blind testing.
