But, and there is always a but, I do not think that the pieces that he endorses are accesible to the general public. If we ever truly want to move the marimba out of acedemia and into acceptance of the general public (there by making this wonderful instrument more profitable) we should endorse pieces that are not only enjoyable to perform, but also enjoyable to listen to from the laymans point of view.
