If you go for something encore..go with the Nancy Zseltsman (I can never remember how to spell her name right) They are great mallets, their heavier than Innovative's soloists series, and except for the IP100 have a darker timbre than the soloists. THeir hardnesses are a bit softer than Innovatives, but their is more choice in harnesses (i.e. 3 different bass mallets, soft, med soft(BEST), med. (BEST!!), Med. Hard (BEST!!!!!!!), med. harder, and hard. All have a very good dark sound and are very durable. The only thing I dont like about them is that they are different colors. Im just a big fan of uniformity..
