yeah, I would definately ask my prof.

On a related subject, I just saw an incredible performance by Daniella Ganeva. She uses the cross grip, I've always been told that the cross grip is horrible and that no one can do anything with it. But she was quite amazing, performing 2 of Rosauro's preludes and a whole crapload of other very difficult pieces. It was really interesting because I have never seen anyone use cross grip, esepccially a marimbaist of that caliber.
