i tend to agree with you. obviously, malletech is notorious for their gigantic bars. and yes, the low end does have its problems. i almost feel like i am hitting big hollow pieces of wood. heh heh, maybe a slight exaggeration there.

kind of funny though. arent all the big-hitters in the marimba world using malletech? i know stevens does. i think burritt might also. i'm not saying you should judge a marimbist by what marimba they use. i just think it's kind of interesting how some of the greatest marimba players use, IN MY OPINION, not quite the best marimba in the market. but remember, thats just my opinion.
